I, like many of you, love Fridays. It gives me permission to stop thinking about work for a couple of days! However, before I do slip into my mini vacation, I like to look back at the week and see if I’ve made progress/headway/completed my goals. Certainly there are some weeks I give myself higher marks than others.
When you look back at your week, what accomplishments have you made? Were there significant breakthroughs or milestones you crossed? Did you make yourself smile? Did you do anything to help someone else?
In my favorite movie there is a wonderful quote:
“A heart is not measured by how much you love but how much you are loved by others.”
—Wizard of Oz
It is easy to find ourselves measuring ROI (Return on Investment) and other technicalities, but don’t forget the bigger picture!
