You all are in trouble…I've started reading another book "Trust Agents" by Chris Brogan. What this means is that I am going to be cramming his ideas down your throats sharing some of his points from time to time within my posts.
Why would you read his book? Because I find it empowering! It is pointing out that we can take actionable steps to become known as a trust agent. Better yet, we can manage our careers/destiny.
Since I first started writing this blog, part of my intent was to help people understand that the world has changed since you last looked for a job or perused the job market for a new job. The standard tactics won't work very well any more.
Being in control of your career has to start today (actually last year). You need to do this now because it takes time.
Building your network takes time. Solidifying your reputation takes time. Figuring out your strengths and really using them takes time.
