If you were given 1440 dollars to spend each day…what will you do with it? Would you go on a spending spree, would you give some to your needy friends, would you put some away for a rainy day? Would you allocate it like this?
33% Give
33% Spend
33% Save
Now, let's say you are given 1440 minutes every day…what will you do with them? Would you spend them fully engaged? Would you allocate them like this?
33% Give (volunteer, help others)
33% Spend (take care of the necessities, must dos)
33% Save (invest in yourself for the future)
The goal is to be in control of how you are spending your time. Do so with purpose. I read a quote from Body + Soul magazine (thanks Amy) that went something like "live each day as if it were your first". A version of Carpe Diem. The point of this logic is that we would worry less about our past mistakes and focus on living a good life moving forward.
Spend, save and give wisely, each and every day.
