I am sure you have either seen or heard of Susan Boyle by now. It is worth watching her again.
Susan’s dream is to become a famous singer. She is now 47 years old and has been singing since she was 12. Right now we can only speculate what series of events led to her to compete in Britain’s Got Talent.
Could it be her dream was always to become a famous singer? Did she listen to the naysayers who said she couldn’t, wouldn’t, shouldn’t?
She’s unemployed. Did she reach the point of re-invention by crisis? When we have lost things that are dear to us, sometimes we are forced to re-evaluate who we are. Who are you? If you were to lose everything, what would you have left?
It seems to me that Susan has always loved singing. It has been a part of her life since she was 12. I would love to know what motivated her to compete. Certainly there were other opportunities in her life to sing in public.
Each one of us has incredible, inspiring talents, just like Sharon. If we can follow our dreams, take a chance and do what we need to do to be found, ours could be the next Susan Boyle story.
Dream! Thank you Susan for the inspiration and the valuable lessons we all took away from watching you!
