Self-Promotion Is Difficult
I don’t think I’ve met anyone who likes to brag. “I don’t like to toot my own horn” is another phrase I hear a lot. And I’m with you all. Except, here’s the problem. If you don’t take credit, where will it come from? Will your overworked, untrained manager recognize your accomplishments? Will a co-worker give you credit? It is unlikely. So you are left with two choices- get comfortable taking credit or hope that your good work will be appreciated or even noticed.
