As I was surrounded by friends and family this weekend, a reoccurring theme of breathing came up.
We take breathing for granted and seldom give it the attention it deserves.
Sit and Contemplate
This week, right now, take long purposeful breaths and exhale slowly. If you practice yoga, you’ll already know how to do this. Pay attention to how your body feels as you inhale and exhale.
Relax your body. Block out noises. Focus only on the rhythm of your breathing.
Sing A Song
If sitting isn’t your thing, then sing! Crank the music and sing out loud. When you sing, you’ll be working on your breathing. How do you feel when the song is over?
When you breathe you supply your body with an energy supply it needs to stay healthy and strong!
